Job summary

Western Growers is seeking a Learning and Development Specialist to design, develop, and deliver learning programs that boost operational performance across the organization. You will partner with SMEs to create curricula, courses, and assessments, and you will evaluate training effectiveness using meaningful metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant training certification with 2–3 years designing learning solutions.
• Strong understanding of adult learning theory and ISD model.
• Proven instructional design, curriculum development, and instructional technology experience.
• Ability to plan, develop and facilitate engaging training with coaching techniques.
• Solid knowledge of LMS and Microsoft Office applications.
• Intermediate visual design skills and Adobe Creative Suite exposure.
• Excellent written communication for instructional content and scripts.
• Ability to evaluate learning programs with data-driven improvements.
• Knowledge of customer service principles.

Responsibilities

• Partner with SMEs to assess performance gaps and create effective learning solutions.
• Define and write instructional objectives using ISD and adult learning principles.
• Design end-to-end curricula, courses, facilitator guides, and assessments.
• Create engaging learning experiences using ILT, virtual, blended and eLearning.
• Develop multimedia assets and write procedures for approval.
• Evaluate training effectiveness with metrics and feedback for improvement.
• Stay current on learning technologies and best practices.
• Consult with leaders on strategies to reinforce learning and sustain impact.
