Job summary

Western Growers Assurance Trust seeks a Learning and Development Specialist to design, develop, and deliver high-quality training solutions across the organization. You will collaborate with SMEs and leaders to create curricula, courses, facilitator guides, and assessments for Operations employees supporting WGH and PCMI.

The role emphasizes evaluating training effectiveness with metrics and maintaining HIPAA-compliant, secure learning environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant training certification, with two (2) to three (3) years of experience designing learning solutions (including eLearning) in a business environment; healthcare insurance experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design principles, including the ISD model.
• Proven experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and instructional technology.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, and facilitate engaging training programs using effective course management and coaching techniques.
• Solid knowledge of course development tools, LMS, and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Partner with SMEs to assess performance gaps and create learning solutions.
• Define and write instructional objectives and apply ISD principles.
• Design end-to-end learning solutions including curricula, courses, guides, and assessments.
• Create learning experiences using instructor-led, virtual, blended, or eLearning methods.
