Job summary

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH) is seeking a Content Specialist for K-8 Math & Literacy to deliver tailored pre-sales support, live demonstrations, and customized curriculum messaging for school customers. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is a minimum with Graduate Degree preferred.
• Five years of K-12 teaching experience (Math K-8 highly preferred).
• Strong communication, collaboration and persuasive presentation skills required.
• Digital literacy with Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom and Camtasia.
• Work from home office, irregular hours including some weekends, and travel extensively 75%+: driving and flying.
• Lift and move up to 30 lbs. on a regular basis.
• A valid driver's license and clear driving record.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Director of Curriculum and Content, Account Executives, Sales partners and peers, to customize the sales message with awareness of customer needs, campaign issues, and competitive knowledge.
• Deliver virtual and onsite pre-sales product presentations and platform demonstrations tailored to customer and sales needs using multiple platforms and software.
• Handle customer questions and overcome objections.
• Demonstrate product knowledge to position products in a way that reflects product strengths while aligning with market issues, curriculum trends, and customer needs.
• Provide initial training and ongoing support for sales pilots.
• Deliver data driven customer presentations to support the Customer Success team in driving annual renewable revenue when requested.
• Learn to create Camtasia videos to support RFP submissions, sales opportunities, and pilots.
• Learn Salesforce and other HNM software programs as required.
