Job summary

Trilogy Innovations invites applications for a Junior Backend Software Developer to support a high-visibility federal modernization program, fully remote within the United States. You will help modernize enterprise systems, develop microservices, and implement cloud-native solutions across a government IT stack.

Role requires a Secret clearance and involves on-call rotations, collaborative work with DevOps, QA, Security, Product, and Architecture, and contributing to scalable, mission-critical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 3 years of work experience or an Associate’s Degree with minimum 5 years.
• Active Tier 3 Secret clearance (or higher) required.
• Strong proficiency in Java and object‑oriented programming.
• Experience developing microservices, REST APIs, and cloud-native apps.
• Hands-on Kubernetes/containerization and automated deployments.
• Experience in AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Familiar with event-driven architectures (Kafka, Pub/Sub, Streaming, Event sourcing).
• Experience with GitOps practices and Agile frameworks (Scrum/SAFe).
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket.

Responsibilities

• Develop, create, and modify computer applications software or specialized utility programs.
• Develop microservices in a cloud native environment.
• Operate an enterprise-scale production system; identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
• Analyze user needs to develop robust software solutions aligned with mission goals.
• Analyze and design databases within an application area, coordinating with teams.
• Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical principles and distributed design.
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and mentoring of junior developers.
• Collaborate with DevOps, QA, Security, Product, and Architecture teams.
