Job summary

Trilogy Innovations is seeking a Senior Backend Software Developer to join a distributed, federally-focused engineering team. This remote role concentrates on modernizing legacy systems into cloud-native microservices running in AWS GovCloud, ensuring reliability and security across national-scale IT environments.

You will mentor developers, contribute to architectural decisions, and collaborate within sprint teams on high-impact government projects. A Tier 3 security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 12+ years with an Associate’s degree.
• Active Tier 3 Secret clearance required.
• Experience in Agile software development, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and CI/CD pipelines.
• 5+ years with Java object-oriented programming.

Responsibilities

• Migrate and modernize legacy mainframe functions to cloud-native microservices in AWS GovCloud.
• Develop, support, and operate enterprise-scale systems with focus on reliability and scalability.
• Analyze user needs and design software solutions across distributed teams.
• Lead in the design and operation of cloud-native architectures in secure, regulated environments.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers.
