Job summary

ISR Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced ITS Systems Support Engineer to support mission-critical traffic management systems and roadside technology. This hands-on role combines traffic management software, ITS devices, networking and systems support to keep live transportation systems reliable and available.

You will diagnose complex issues, provide technical support across Windows/Linux environments, and work with customers to resolve incidents within agreed SLAs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in ITS, traffic management systems or related transportation tech.
• Hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting live technical systems.
• Knowledge of ITS roadside equipment including cameras, DMS, detectors and traffic signals.
• Experience with Windows and/or Linux servers and networking concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for Traffic Management Systems and ITS infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, communications and network issues on live systems.
• Configure and maintain traffic signals, DMS, cameras and detectors.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes and resolve per SLAs.
• Support Windows/Linux environments, networking, databases and remote access.
• Train agency personnel on systems, products and software functionality.
• Document architecture, configurations and troubleshooting procedures.
• Support backups, disaster recovery and maintenance.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, QA, DBAs and stakeholders.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for 24/7 operations.
