Job summary

United Church Homes is seeking an IT Technician to sustain IT assets across long-term care, affordable housing, and community settings. You will assist end-users with hardware and software, maintain inventory, and collaborate with contracted technicians to install and repair equipment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required or equivalent experience.
• Two or more years of related IT experience.
• Strong knowledge of operating systems and MS Office Suite; familiarity with Workday/PointClickCare is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to end-users, including hardware setup, software installation, and troubleshooting.
• Support network equipment hardware and cabling; assist with maintenance.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and software.
• Evaluate end-user needs and implement adjustments.
• Assist with network and printer connections.
• Install operating systems and software packages; update as needed.
• Research solutions for recurring issues and document resolutions.
• Maintain computer/network inventory and coordinate with service personnel.
• Participate in weekly on-call rotation with other IT technicians.
• Consult with IT Services regarding budget requirements for equipment.
