Job summary

ForTheVeteran is seeking an entry-level IT Support Specialist to be the first point of contact for our remote team. You will handle help desk tickets, troubleshoot PC and desktop issues, and ensure our veterans-focused team stays productive and secure.

You’ll support Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and device management tools, with a focus on clear communication and timely issue resolution. Fully remote position with comprehensive onboarding and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role with emphasis on responsiveness and clear communication.
• Experience in help desk or IT support preferred; relevant coursework or certifications considered.
• Familiarity with Windows OS, PC hardware, and Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for employee technology requests via help desk, email, chat, and phone.
• Log, prioritize, and resolve support tickets; keep users updated through resolution.
• Troubleshoot PC and desktop hardware, software, OS, and peripherals for remote employees.
• Manage user accounts, password resets, access requests, and MFA.
• Install, update, and patch software to keep devices secure and current.
• Escalate complex issues and ensure follow-up with employees until resolved.
