Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a motivated Trainee IT Support Technician for a fully remote apprenticeship. This program provides foundational knowledge and hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues as part of a virtual support team.

You'll learn IT service management best practices, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, access online training, and have exposure to a wide range of IT challenges.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+) are a plus.
• Fundamental knowledge of computer hardware, Windows/macOS, and networking basics.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and remote customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical assistance to users experiencing hardware, software, or network problems.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
• Manage user accounts and permissions within the IT infrastructure.
• Document technical issues, solutions, and user requests in a helpdesk system.
• Assist with the maintenance of IT equipment and inventory.
