Job summary

HealthBay seeks a dependable IT Support Technician to deliver hands-on remote assistance to end users. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain PC hardware, software, and network connections while providing friendly, clear guidance.

In this fully remote role, you’ll manage tickets, document solutions, and collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure, reliable systems. Certifications are a plus; strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 1–4+ years of experience in IT support or technical support roles
• Knowledge of Windows, macOS, and basic Linux environments
• Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN)
• Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk, Jira)
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified are a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support via phone, email, chat, and remote access tools
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and system-related issues
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications
• Assist with user account setup, password resets, and access management
• Support network connectivity, VPN access, and remote desktop environments
• Document technical issues, solutions, and procedures in ticketing systems
• Escalate complex technical problems to senior IT staff when necessary
• Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and security checks
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and cybersecurity standards
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding of employees from an IT perspective
