Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks an experienced IT Program Consultant to provide on-call support for NASA enterprise IT programs.

The role focuses on planning, coordination, and execution of IT initiatives, with cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder communication. Responsibilities include evaluating requirements, identifying risks, and delivering technical summaries to leadership.

Qualifications

• MA/MS or equivalent and 8+ years of experience.
• Experience supporting the NASA environment, customers, and solution development tailored to NASA mission needs.
• IT program support, systems engineering, or enterprise IT operations.
• Strong understanding of enterprise IT technologies such as: ServiceNow, Cloud services (AWS, Azure, private/hybrid clouds), Enterprise applications and collaboration platforms, Networking and infrastructure services, Identity, access, and cybersecurity frameworks.
• Ability to analyze problems, evaluate alternatives, and recommend effective solutions.
• Strong communication skills with ability to interface with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Ability to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances (if supporting federal programs).

Responsibilities

• Provide on-call consulting support to NASA IT program teams, project managers, and technical stakeholders.
• Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of enterprise IT initiatives, enhancements, and operational tasks.
• Review program requirements, technical documentation, and performance metrics to identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of IT solutions with program goals and customer expectations.
• Prepare and deliver briefings, reports, or technical summaries to program leadership when required.
