Sabin Vaccine Institute is seeking an IT Manager to oversee day-to-day technology operations, manage external vendors, and support organization-wide IT initiatives. This remote US-based role focuses on reliability, security, and performance across the IT environment.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in IT operations, strong governance and collaboration skills, and experience with cloud infrastructure, SharePoint, HR systems, and policy enforcement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive IT operations or systems support experience.
• Experience coordinating with external technology vendors.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-based IT infrastructure and systems administration.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and NIST 800-171/Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily IT operations to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Resolve escalated technical issues by coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
• Provide advanced oversight for hardware, software and systems applications (SharePoint, Paylocity HRIS, Smartsheet).
• Support user account administration, permissions, system access, onboarding/offboarding processes.
• Maintain documentation related to systems and workflows.
• Assist in IT policies, standards, and best practices; coordinate system upgrades and integrations.
• Partner with department leaders to identify needs and recommend technology solutions.
• Support cybersecurity initiatives and disaster recovery planning.
