Job summary

Lakeview IT is seeking an Operations Engineer for a fully remote role. You will monitor and maintain systems, respond to incidents, and drive automation across Windows, cloud, and on-prem environments.

A strong background in ITIL, scripting (PowerShell, Python), and cloud (AWS/Azure) is required. You will collaborate with the Technology Operations team to ensure high availability and rapid issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Extensive IT infrastructure knowledge across servers, networks, and storage.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Proficiency with monitoring and alerting tools (New Relic).
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell and Python.
• Familiarity with ITIL and IT service management practices.
• Experience with Windows operating systems and virtualization (Azure VDI).

Responsibilities

• Monitor systems, applications, and infrastructure for high availability.
• Respond to alerts and incidents and coordinate with teams to resolve issues.
• Troubleshoot across Windows servers, VDI, cloud environments, and enterprise apps; liaise with vendors.
• Perform routine maintenance, patching, log reviews, backups (Commvault).
• Assist in administration of servers, storage, networks, and cloud resources; manage access.
• Optimize performance of on-prem and cloud systems; use New Relic for health monitoring.
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) and implement configuration management.
• Create and maintain documentation for incidents and procedures; ensure corrective actions.
