Job summary

RTX is seeking a Cloud Engineer to provision, configure, operate, and maintain Windows/Linux infrastructure in cloud and on-prem environments. You will support the Enterprise Services SIOP application suite and automate tasks to reduce off-hours work.

The role requires 5+ years in cloud deployments (Azure/AWS), strong scripting (PowerShell, Terraform/HCL), and experience with Windows/Linux systems and AD/VMware. Remote work options may apply within the US.

Qualifications

• BS in MIS, CS, Tech, Eng, or Math with 5+ years experience.
• 5+ years deploying/managing cloud solutions on Azure/AWS; Windows & Linux admin.
• Proficient with AD, WSUS, VMware; strong scripting (PowerShell, Terraform/HCL).
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into solutions.

Responsibilities

• Work with a small team on cloud projects and system support.
• Deliver practical solutions to complex problems.
• Design and support cloud infrastructure for new workloads.
• Oversee cloud operations and infrastructure design for workloads.
• Continuously improve and mature cloud services.
• Provide IT systems administration in mixed Linux/Windows environments.
• Create and maintain system documentation and policies.
• Work effectively in a geographically distributed team.
