Job summary

Lakeview IT is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for a fully remote role. You will ensure stability, reliability, and scalability of production systems, collaborating with development, engineering, and operations teams to improve performance and automate tasks.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system administration, networking, and cloud platforms, with experience in Azure and AWS, New Relic, and Commvault.

Qualifications

• Scripting skills in PowerShell or Python.
• Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with Windows OS.
• Exposure to IT service management frameworks.
• Experience with virtualization (Azure VDI).

Responsibilities

• Monitor systems for high availability and proactively resolve incidents.
• Respond to outages and act as Incident Manager during incidents.
• Collaborate with teams and vendors to fix complex issues.
• Document incidents and prevent recurrence with corrective actions.
• Maintain monitoring and dashboards in New Relic across apps and infra.
• Manage alerting and integrate with Jira Service Management.
• Perform and monitor backups and data-protection tasks in Commvault.
• Operate workloads in Azure and AWS.
• Develop automation scripts to streamline tasks.
