Job summary

Oliver James is seeking a hands-on IT Manager, Integration & Automation to lead the Integrations Team and modernize the enterprise integration platform.

The role focuses on API-first, cloud-native integration, guiding architecture, mentoring engineers, and delivering end-to-end integration across Guidewire, enterprise apps, cloud platforms, and partners. This is a remote, direct-hire opportunity with a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Experience leading technical engineering teams with people leadership and technical direction.
• Strong experience with REST APIs and API management platforms (AWS API Gateway, Apigee, Kong, MuleSoft, WSO2, or similar).
• Experience with API governance and lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of cloud-native and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• CI/CD, GitHub or Bitbucket, Agile delivery, and modern software engineering practices.
• Ability to influence architecture, mentor engineers, and establish engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the enterprise integration strategy, architecture, and technical roadmap.
• Drive modernization with API-first, cloud migration, and event-driven integrations.
• Own enterprise API management, governance, lifecycle, and cloud-native standards.
• Oversee design, development, deployment, and support of integrations across platforms.
• Provide architecture reviews, set engineering standards, and mentor team members.
• Build and develop a high-performing engineering team and manage priorities.
