Job summary

Advocate Health offers an IT Internship for HRIS and IT with hands-on exposure to IT configuration, support, and maintenance to meet operational needs. Interns work with clinical operations, IT staff, and vendors to ensure smooth system operations.

The program runs May 31, 2027 – August 6, 2027, up to 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri, remotely from approved states including KS. Applicants must be enrolled as juniors or seniors and have solid Excel skills and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as Incoming Junior, or Senior at an accredited college or university.
• GPA of at least 2.5.
• No prior experience required.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist IT team in hardware/software maintenance.
• Research unusual bugs and issues encountered.
• Support the IT team in system updates and backups.
• Help with call tracking and KPI monitoring.
• Review data integrity and assist with data analysis.
• Assist in developing new desktops, servers or applications.
