Job summary

SouthState Bank seeks an IT Configuration Manager to own the CMDB strategy and governance, ensuring reliable data aligned with ITSM, IT Operations, asset management, and risk objectives.

You will partner with service owners, infrastructure, application, security, and audit teams to improve visibility of IT services, assets, dependencies, and change impacts, while leading the CMDB program and a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Business Administration, MIS, or related field required or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years in ITSM, configuration management, CMDB administration, IT asset management, or related tech disciplines, including governance initiatives.
• ITIL Foundation preferred; ServiceNow / CMDB ITOM training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise configuration management practice, including CMDB strategy, governance, standards, policies, procedures, operating model, and roadmap execution.
• Oversee CMDB data quality, completeness, accuracy, reconciliation, relationship mapping, lifecycle management, and health metrics.
• Partner with ITSM process owners, service owners, infrastructure, application, security, audit, and asset teams to define CMDB scope, data requirements, and dependencies.
• Support incident, problem, change, release, asset, risk, audit, and service management by ensuring trusted data for impact analysis and decisions.
• Manage CMDB-related reporting, dashboards, controls, audits, and continuous improvement to increase maturity and adoption.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members responsible for CMDB operations and data stewardship.
• Evaluate CMDB enhancements, integrations, discovery improvements, service mapping, and automation in partnership with technical teams.
• Facilitate annual attestations by the business to CMDB data and attributes.
