Job summary

Veriipro is seeking an experienced CMDB Configuration Manager to oversee design, implementation, maintenance, and governance of the CMDB. The role requires strong CMDB, ITSM, data quality, and governance expertise across technical and business teams.

You will manage CI lifecycles, discoveries, integrations, and dashboards while maintaining data quality and supporting audits and compliance initiatives.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced CMDB Configuration Manager to oversee the design, implementation, maintenance, and governance of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). The ideal candidate will have strong experience with configuration management, IT service management, data quality, and CMDB governance, with the ability to work across technical and business teams.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the CMDB, ensuring configuration data is accurate, complete, consistent, and up to date.
• Define and enforce CMDB governance, standards, policies, and procedures.
• Establish and maintain Configuration Items (CIs), relationships, attributes, and data models.
• Develop processes for CMDB discovery, reconciliation, normalization, and data quality management.
• Monitor CMDB health, identify data gaps and inconsistencies, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage integrations between the CMDB and infrastructure, cloud, application, asset, and service management platforms.
• Support automated discovery and population of configuration data from multiple sources.
• Develop and maintain CI lifecycle management processes.
• Partner with IT teams to define configuration management requirements and ensure compliance with established standards.
• Create dashboards, reports, and metrics to measure CMDB data quality, completeness, and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot CMDB-related issues and coordinate resolution with technical teams and vendors.
• Support audits, compliance activities, and IT service management initiatives.
• Provide guidance and training to teams on CMDB processes and configuration management best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in CMDB, Configuration Management, IT Service Management, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of CMDB concepts, Configuration Items (CIs), relationships, and configuration management processes.
• Experience with ServiceNow CMDB or a similar enterprise CMDB platform.
• Hands-on experience with Discovery, Service Mapping, reconciliation, normalization, and data quality.
• Strong understanding of ITIL and IT service management processes.
• Experience integrating CMDB data with ITSM, asset management, monitoring, cloud, and enterprise applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience developing CMDB governance standards, policies, and procedures.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with technical and business teams.
