Job summary

American Red Cross is seeking an IT Category Manager for a 100% virtual role with an East Coast schedule. You will manage IT supplier relationships, develop category strategies, and lead negotiations to support business goals while ensuring risk controls and compliance.

You will partner with CIO, Risk, GC, and business units to shape IT procurement, drive cost savings, and enable successful project delivery in a dynamic nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years in Supply Management, Procurement, or IT Business Office roles.
• Experience overseeing IT services, suppliers, and IT marketplace knowledge.
• Experience drafting SOWs, negotiating complex contracts, and managing risk.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and cross-functional influence skills.
• Ability to lead meetings, communicate with stakeholders, and manage vendors.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with IT leadership to align procurement with business needs.
• Manage supplier portfolio, renewals, and third-party risk.
• Develop category strategies and negotiate supplier agreements.
• Work with Office of the GC, Risk, IT, and clients on SOWs and contracts.
• Negotiate statements of work and ordering documents to maximize value.
• Collaborate with CIO and IT leaders on business cases and spend planning.
