Job summary

American Red Cross is seeking an IT Category Manager to lead strategic procurement for IT services and software. You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate agreements, and align IT spend with business goals across the organization.

This remote role follows an East Coast schedule (8am–5pm) and requires experience in IT procurement, contract management, and cross-functional collaboration. The position emphasizes risk management, governance, and P2P tools familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 7+ years in IT procurement, supplier management, or IT business office roles.
• Experience overseeing IT services and supplier relationships.
• Strong negotiation and contract lifecycle management skills.
• Knowledge of IT marketplace, industry norms, and managed services agreements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with IT and business leaders to align IT spend with strategic goals.
• Manage supplier portfolio including agreements, renewals, and risk management activities.
• Negotiate supplier agreements and renewals with internal partners including GC, Risk, IT, and business clients.
• Develop category strategies to control costs and ensure continuity of supply.
• Lead on statements of work and ordering documents to deliver value for project investments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage third-party risk and governance.
