Job summary

The American Red Cross seeks an IT Category Manager to lead strategic procurement for IT goods and services in the United States. The role requires 7+ years of experience in supply management and IT procurement, plus strong negotiation and cross-functional collaboration skills.

You will manage IT supplier portfolios, contract renewals, and risk, while working with counsel, risk, and IT leadership to deliver value and ensure continuity of supply in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Supply Management, Economics, CS or IS.
• 7+ years of professional experience in Supply Management, Procurement, or IT Business Office roles.
• Experience with IT services and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with IT Strategic Procurement and business clients to align demands with IT priorities.
• Manage a portfolio of IT suppliers, renewals, and third-party risk.
• Lead cross-functional meetings and influence procurement strategies.
• Negotiate supplier agreements, renewals, and statements of work.
• Mitigate third-party risk with internal partners and counsel.
• Support project procurement timelines and budget planning.
