Amentum is seeking an IT Category Buyer to lead supplier sourcing and contract management within IT categories. You will develop supplier relationships, drive cost reductions and ensure on-time delivery across IT spend.

US citizenship is required. This remote-telework role is limited to applicants living and working in the United States, with responsibilities spanning procurement operations, negotiations, and compliance within a large, global organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in procurement or supply chain, or a Master’s with 3+ years experience.
• US Citizenship is required to apply.
• CPM/AAPICS certifications preferred.
• Proven experience leading negotiations and implementing supply chain deals.
• This remote-telework role requires living in the US to apply.

Responsabilités

• Support procurement operations for assigned IT categories to reduce cost and improve supplier quality.
• Execute RFQs, competitive bidding, supplier evaluation and negotiations.
• Identify, qualify and onboard new suppliers to support cost, quality and service goals.
• Analyze spending data and market conditions to recommend sourcing strategies.
• Maintain purchase orders, pricing, lead times, and contracts in procurement systems.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships for performance and compliance.
• Monitor supplier KPIs and drive corrective actions as needed.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions to achieve cost savings.
• Support budgeting with forecasting and spend analysis.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction through alternative sourcing or process improvements.
• Ensure continuity of supply and mitigate risks.
