Job summary

The Department of Revenue Information Services Division has a full-time, permanent IT Business Analyst opening in Washington state. We seek an experienced analyst who can jump into IT projects with minimal supervision and translate business needs into clear, testable requirements.

The incumbent will facilitate discussions, elicit requirements, and collaborate across architects, testers, and operations to design or modify technology solutions.

Qualifications

• Elicit, analyze, validate, and document business and technical requirements.
• Lead requirement workshops and translate needs into clear deliverables.
• Communicate requirements to diverse stakeholders (developers, testers, architects, leaders).
• Support testing and validation of system requirements and prototypes.

Responsibilities

• Lead or participate in requirement workshops and demonstrations.
• Translate business needs into diagrams, use cases, processes, and user stories.
• Collaborate with architects, testers, and project managers throughout SDLC.
• Prepare test cases and assist with usability activities.
