Job summary

Southern Fibernet seeks a driven Sales Associate to prospect, connect, and close in a new business role across a broad telecom/broadband target set. You’ll reach ISPs, cable operators, EMCs, municipalities, and related entities while building credibility with decision makers.

You’ll own a full sales cycle from prospecting to close in a fast-growing environment. You’ll develop a territory plan, generate pipeline, and negotiate contracts, both on-site and virtually, while maintaining CRM accuracy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of B2B sales experience with a verifiable track record of hitting or exceeding quota.
• Background in telecom, IPTV, video streaming, or broadband infrastructure sales.
• Comfortable discussing technical concepts with business and engineering audiences.
• Experience managing a full sales cycle from prospecting through close.
• Proven ability to build trust with owners, C-suite executives, and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive new client acquisition—this is a new business role first and foremost.
• Build and execute a territory sales plan to consistently meet or exceed revenue goals.
• Prospect, qualify, and close deals with ISPs, cable operators, EMCs, municipalities, and related organizations.
• Use a consultative approach to understand what each prospect actually needs and position Southern Fibernet accordingly.
• Generate pipeline through a mix of cold outreach, trade show presence, referrals, and channel partnerships.
• Prepare proposals and take contracts through negotiation and execution.
• Stay close to your accounts through system deployment and launch—you're the face of the company.
• Lead customer meetings, product demos, and executive presentations both on-site and virtually.
• Maintain clean CRM records so pipeline and forecasting are always accurate.
