Job summary

Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Docketing Analyst for a fully remote assignment supporting a U.S.-based law firm. The role centers on maintaining trademark docket portfolios, monitoring deadlines, and ensuring timely docketing of domestic and international matters across the IP practice.

The position requires 5+ years of IP docketing experience with a strong trademark background. Candidates should be proficient with PATTSY and IP management systems, and capable of handling high-volume,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive Intellectual Property docketing experience focused on trademarks.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. and international trademark matters and TTAB proceedings.
• Proficiency with docketing software; PATTSY experience is highly relevant.
• Excellent proofreading, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to identify discrepancies and manage high-volume, deadline-sensitive work independently.

Responsibilities

• Review, process, and distribute correspondence from USPTO and foreign agencies.
• Maintain trademark docket portfolios and ensure daily docket clearance and logs.
• Monitor domestic and international trademark deadlines and calendars.
• Ensure accurate docketing of documents and deadlines from USPTO and other sources.
• Maintain docket records and prepare reports as required.
• Save client documents in PATTSY and upload to matter records.
• Maintain electronic files with IP management system and iManage integration.
• Process abandoned and inactive matters per procedures.
• Respond to docketing questions from attorneys and staff.
• Lead docket audits, including bibliographic and formality checks.
• Assist with data updates, matter intakes, and other docketing projects.
• Communicate with attorneys, staff, and clients while maintaining confidentiality.
