Job summary

The Nagler Group is seeking an IP Docketing Manager (Remote) to lead a national law firm’s docketing team from Boston, MA. You will oversee patent/trademark deadlines, drive process improvements, and mentor a high-performing remote staff.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of IP docketing management in a law firm, strong leadership, and proficiency with IP management software. You will collaborate with attorneys and operations to ensure accurate, timely docketing and client service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of intellectual property docketing management experience in a law firm.
• Experience leading and developing a team of docketing professionals.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. and international patent and trademark prosecution.
• Experience with IP management software (Anaqua, PATTSY, or similar).
• Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a remote team of IP docketing professionals.
• Oversee daily docketing operations, workload distribution, and quality assurance.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. and international patent and trademark deadlines.
• Analyze metrics, identify trends, and implement process improvements.
• Manage onboarding, training, audits, and performance management.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and operations teams to support client service and workflow efficiency.
• Oversee portfolio transfers, new client onboarding, and docketing system administration.
