Job summary

Hologram is seeking a Solutions Engineer II to own customer onboarding through production, troubleshoot complex IoT connectivity issues, and drive automation across post-sale processes. You will work on SIM, device, and network problems, build tooling, and help customers succeed with evolving IoT deployments.

The role emphasizes automation, AI-enhanced support, and clear communication with customers and internal teams. Remote-first environment with global collaboration opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role with onboarding to production.
• Solid understanding of cellular networks, IoT devices, RATs, and protocols.
• Experience with scripting languages, SQL, and REST APIs.
• Proven automation/builds against real workflows and applying AI tooling.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to explain tech to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own customer onboarding end to end, from SIM provisioning and device configuration to a live deployment.
• Diagnose and resolve SIM, device, and network connectivity issues across the deployment lifecycle; handle L2 escalations.
• Lead automation work: identify manual tasks and automate them.
• Improve onboarding processes from SIM ordering to provisioning and connectivity setup.
• Automate account-health monitoring and alerting for Account Management.
• Maintain and expand internal tooling, including AI-driven support tooling and docs.
• Advocate for customers internally, surfacing product gaps and pain points to product/engineering.
• Write runbooks and hand off work so any SE can finish tickets.
• Extend automation across post-sale areas: billing config, reconciliation, renewal planning.
