Qualifications

• Must have AHIMA or AAPC credential and maintain annually.
• Minimum 2+ years of outpatient IR coding experience.
• Minimum 2+ years of ICD-10 experience.
• Proficient with Windows, Excel and EMR systems.
• Able to work 40 hours/week, five days, with occasional overtime.

Responsibilities

• Identify CPT and ICD-10 Code assignments for outpatient IR services per guidelines.
• Analyze/repair CCI Edits and Medical Necessity Edits.
• Understand APC codes and apply coding knowledge.
• Abstract additional data elements during chart review as needed.
• Maintain coding quality and productivity per policy.
