Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking an Interim Controller to provide leadership across the accounting organization during a period of growth and transformation. The role can be remote or hybrid, with an initial duration of about 5 months and potential extension. You will lead the accounting function, drive the close process, and ensure compliance with U.S.

GAAP. Requirements include a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance and CPA, with 15+ years of progressive accounting experience and strong leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required; CPA preferred.
15+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibility.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, close management, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

Lead the accounting organization including GL, AP, payroll accounting, consolidations, close activities, and audit support.
Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with accurate financial reporting.
Review journal entries, reconciliations, variance analyses, and supporting schedules.
Mentor and develop accounting professionals; set priorities and expectations.
Lead external audit activities and remediation of findings; ensure audit readiness.
