Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking an experienced Interim Controller in New Jersey to assume Controller-level responsibilities and maintain continuity across the accounting and finance function. You will lead the month-end close, oversee financial reporting, and provide day-to-day leadership during the transition.

The ideal candidate has 10-15 years of progressive accounting and finance leadership, prior Controller-level experience, and the ability to operate independently.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience
• Prior Controller or similar senior-level accounting experience
• Able to step in quickly and operate independently
• Strong month-end close and financial reporting experience
• Media & Entertainment experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee month-end close
• Manage financial reporting and accounting operations
• Provide day-to-day Controller-level leadership
• Ensure continuity throughout the transition
• Support knowledge transfer and process documentation
• Partner with the existing finance team and key stakeholders
• Identify and address issues impacting close and reporting
