Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking an experienced Interim Controller to lead and stabilize the accounting function during a transitional period. The role combines hands-on management with high-visibility oversight of GAAP-compliant, audit-ready financial reporting across a multi-entity setup.

You will partner with the existing accounting team to ensure accurate close processes, strengthen intercompany controls, and drive process improvements in a complex environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Controller or senior accounting leader in a complex environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with multi-entity consolidations and intercompany accounting.
• Background in audit support and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

Responsibilities

• Audit-ready, GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and period-end close processes.
• Manage and review consolidations across multiple legal entities.
• Maintain and strengthen intercompany accounting processes.
• Support audit readiness and financial reporting quality.
• Provide hands-on leadership to a team of accounting professionals.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
