Job summary

Hanger, Inc. is seeking an Intake Specialist (Outbound) - Remote to join its patient services team. You will talk with patients and families, gather information, schedule appointments, and coordinate care across locations while delivering outstanding customer service.

The role emphasizes HIPAA awareness, strong communication, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment; healthcare experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• Successful completion of skills assessment during selection.

Responsibilities

• Makes outgoing calls to patients and schedules various appointment types for multiple locations.
• Communicates professionally with patients.
• Appropriately documents and confirms requested appointment.
• Provides excellent customer service.
• Determines the most appropriate location, clinician, and appointment type needed for the patient.
• Manages incoming faxes from referral sources.
• Triages and routes general inquiry calls.
• Contacts patient for no show/rescheduled appointments.
• Promotes the values of Hanger.
