Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years in a contact center or healthcare environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with EHR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle communications via phone, email, voicemail, faxes, and chat; identify trends and scheduling barriers.
• Conduct thorough intake assessments and match patients with appropriate providers; schedule initial appointments.
• Collect and verify insurance information, eligibility, and in-network benefits; gather patient demographics.
• Obtain patient clinical history, insurance data, and credit card for file; assist portal setup and paperwork.
• Document all interactions in the EHR; coordinate referrals and prior authorizations when needed.
• Respond to patient questions, contact referral sources, and support new patient onboarding.
• Follow HIPAA and PCI standards; assist with crisis calls as appropriate; support department efficiency.
