Advocate Health is seeking a remote Revenue Cycle Support professional to verify insurance, update coverage in the EHR, and ensure accurate claims processing. The role involves handling inbound calls from patients and staff, applying Visit Filing Order changes, and maintaining up-to-date HARs and patient data.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience, strong data entry speed, and knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid.

Formación

• Knowledge and understanding of Revenue Cycle-specific insurance and billing procedures preferred.
• Previous data entry experience with speed and accuracy.
• Good organizational ability and strong written and verbal communication.
• Basic understanding of EHRs and ability to gain deeper knowledge.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and third‑party payors.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsabilidades

• Receives calls from patients and staff to verify insurance and update coverage in EHR.
• Updates Visit Filing Order changes and ensures correct payor submission.
• Reviews eligibility transactions and adjusts coverage for accuracy.
• Sends CRM requests to coordinate with the business office on insurance concerns.
• Follows up on insurance changes via the patient portal and updates as needed.
• Performs guarantor account updates per billing requirements.
• Keeps HARs and visits current and resolves data discrepancies in Smart Chart.
