Ideal Option and Ideal Balance is hiring an Insurance Verification Representative for a fully remote role. The position focuses on verifying insurance coverage, communicating benefits, and supporting patient experiences through intake, scheduling, and issue resolution.

Responsibilities include documenting verifications, coordinating with Financial Counseling for payment plans, and using systems like eClinicalWorks, Artera, and Outlook to ensure accurate information and timely service.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• Experience with medical insurance verification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Knowledge of HIPAA and privacy requirements.
• Ability to learn and navigate multiple computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits through payer portals and Experian.
• Process new and established patient accounts within required timeframes.
• Review and document insurance benefits, copays, deductibles, and estimated patient costs.
• Notify patients of coverage issues and financial responsibilities.
• Schedule new patient appointments and assist with account questions.
• Communicate with patients using approved methods, including Artera.
• Direct patients to Financial Counseling for hardship options.
• Maintain accurate documentation of insurance verification and communications.
• Utilize eCW, Outlook, Teams, Experian, Artera, and other systems as required.
• Comply with HIPAA and privacy requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of insurance and billing requirements.
• Meet productivity, attendance, and performance expectations.
• Collaborate with team members and represent the organization professionally.
