Job summary

CCS is seeking a Verification Representative to verify insurance coverage and ensure orders are accurate prior to shipment. The role centers on delivering first-class customer service in our call center and solving patient challenges with expert knowledge of payers and benefits.

The position requires similar experience, strong attention to detail, and compliance with HIPAA and billing standards. Remote or hybrid options may apply where available.

Qualifications

• High School diploma
• One-year medical insurance verification related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• One year of customer service experience required
• Strong working knowledge of billing procedures and insurance reimbursement
• Knowledge of HCPC codes
• Ability to analyze and correct accounts receivable problems
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Makes outbound calls to insurance companies to verify insurance benefits
• Evaluates insurance coverage and recommends appropriate products based on patient needs
• Verifies, reviews, documents and completes insurance verifications accurately
• Identifies documentation needs to permit timely billing and communication with teams
• Reviews patient accounts and determines actions to collect payment
• Reviews claims and performs corrections and submissions to new carrier
• Has knowledge of billing procedures and HCPC codes
• Maintains confidentiality due to access to sensitive information
• Maintains regular attendance and flexibility to meet department needs
• Follows Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and private insurance regulations
