Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Insurance Underwriting Assistant to support the underwriting team from a fully remote capacity. You will gather information, process applications, and manage policy documentation, contributing to accurate risk assessment and policy issuance.

The ideal candidate has strong administrative skills, excellent communication, and can work independently from home with attention to detail. Relevant experience in admin or customer service is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
• Previous administrative or customer service experience is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Assist underwriters by gathering and organizing policy application information.
• Process policy endorsements, cancellations, and renewals accurately.
• Communicate with agents, brokers, and policyholders to obtain missing documentation.
• Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems for underwriting files.
• Perform data entry and update policy information in the underwriting system.
