Job summary

Foresight, a fully remote company, is seeking a Commercial Insurance Underwriting Assistant to support the underwriting team across submissions, rating, and policy servicing. The role emphasizes data accuracy, workflow automation, and close collaboration with Underwriters and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced MGA environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial insurance, preferably underwriting support, policy servicing, insurance operations, or a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Support the processing of new and renewal business from initial submission through rating, underwriting review, binding, and policy servicing.
• Review submissions for completeness and accuracy and obtain missing information needed for underwriting review.
• Enter, maintain, and validate submission, account, and policy information in Salesforce and other underwriting systems.
• Assist with rating activities, loss run review, and other underwriting documentation.
• Prepare underwriting files and referrals for Underwriter review with complete information and supporting documentation.
• Process and coordinate routine underwriting and policy servicing activities per procedures and authority.
• Track outstanding underwriting requirements and follow up with internal teams, brokers, or stakeholders to keep submissions moving.
• Maintain accurate underwriting files, documentation, and audit trails in line with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Utilize underwriting technology and data tools to support processing, review system exceptions, and maintain data quality.
• Assist broker/producer requests and escalate questions as needed.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Insurance Operations, Broker Relations, Safety Success, and Product to support workflows.
• Assist with reporting and other underwriting support activities as needed.
