Job summary

Applied Systems is seeking a Services Advisor who will diagnose client needs and architect end-to-end project scopes for professional services. You will partner with Sales and Delivery teams to drive opportunities and craft Statements of Work that define scope, timelines, and effort.

The role requires 5+ years in professional services and insurance industry work, with strong communication and a knack for translating complex programs into phased implementations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Professional Services or Consulting for complex software implementations.
• 5+ years in insurance industry domains and workflows.
• Strong detail orientation for accurate estimates, timelines, and budgets.
• Ability to translate complex projects into phased implementation plans.
• Interest in AI tools to improve workflows and reduce manual effort.
• Experience with APIs, databases, data warehousing and integration strategies.
• Technical writing skills and clear communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales and Services to identify opportunities and expand services.
• Lead discovery sessions with agency stakeholders to shape engagements.
• Design end-to-end project scopes and write comprehensive SOWs with deliverables and timelines.
• Spot pre-sales gaps to improve resource planning and reduce scope creep.
• Present methodology, scope, timelines and costs to executives for buy-in.
• Coordinate with Sales, Implementation, Data and Solution Services for smooth handoffs.
• Collaborate on custom or creative solutions early with Services teams.
• Work with Sales to uncover additional services for customers.
• Contribute to M&A programs to assess service needs for data migrations.
