Job summary

Jerry.ai is seeking an Insurance Compliance & Regulatory Senior Lead to join the Insurance Operations team. This leadership role focuses on solving complex systemic issues, building compliance frameworks, and serving as the bridge between customers, regulators, and product teams.

The role involves leading escalation operations, owning regulator responses, driving root-cause resolutions with Legal/Product/Engineering, and maintaining audit-ready records for market conduct examinations.

Qualifications

• Active P&C license; or willingness to obtain it quickly.
• 5+ years of insurance experience, including 3+ years in state insurance and regulatory compliance.
• 2+ years in a team lead or supervisory role.
• Proven track record of managing state regulatory inquiries and carrier audit relationships.
• Working knowledge of NAIC model regulations and state codes, translating regulatory requirements into policy and practice.
• Exceptional executive-level written and verbal communication with attention to legal detail.
• Strong analytical mindset with data-driven cross-functional improvements.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead Escalation Operations: oversee investigation and de-escalation framework for complex complaints.
• Own DOI and Insurance Carrier Responses: manage audits and regulatory workflows; prepare official correspondence.
• Systemic Root-Cause Resolution: partner with Legal, Product, and Engineering to translate findings into product fixes.
• Complaint Log & Compliance Controls: maintain audit-ready records for examinations and data calls.
• Carrier Relationship & Claims Support: liaison for carrier partners during investigations and inquiries.
• Team Guidance & Coaching: provide operational guidance and quality oversight to team members.
• Regulatory Reporting & Documentation: maintain accurate records of trends, correspondence, and timelines.
