BetterHelp, a leader in online therapy, seeks a Billing and Follow-up Specialist to join a newly formed revenue cycle team. You will manage claim submissions, pursue payer follow-ups, and resolve denials to maximize reimbursements while supporting cross-functional collaboration.

The role offers remote work with in-person company bonding events, competitive compensation, robust benefits, and 401k matching. Previous healthcare billing experience is essential for success.

Qualificações

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in the healthcare space, preferably in an existing role doing billing and follow-up functions with insurance companies on behalf of providers
• Understanding of claim submission and common denial issues and cash posting processes
• Exposure to mental health and telehealth services is a plus

Responsabilidades

• Review and prioritize follow-up activities requiring claim edits or general payer follow-up
• Research claim denial issues and resolve them to release claims to payers
• Contact insurance companies to understand delays and identify next steps to resolve them
• Investigate payment variance to understand root causes and next steps
• Capture follow-up activities with descriptive notes in the workflow
• Support transition of claims to other staff for denial and cash posting tasks as needed
• Prioritize and drive issue resolution with Credentialing or Customer Success
• Identify payer behavior trends and surface them for leadership review
