Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book of business, ensuring retention and supporting new business. The role involves coordinating daily admin tasks, handling service requests, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of account management or 5+ years in insurance, active P&C licensing (CIC preferred), and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of account management experience or 5+ years in insurance.
• Strong knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active property & casualty licensing; CIC preferred.
• Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking and organization.
• MS Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned book of business to ensure retention and growth.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities.
• Address complex issues with accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitor policy expirations and renewals.
• Prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, present proposals.
• Oversee accounts receivable and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Track activity and ensure timely completion.
• Communicate workload status with the team.
• Deliver proactive service and uphold policy compliance.
• Seek continuous improvement and uphold IOA values.
