Job summary

Core Insulation Contractors LLC is seeking an experienced Estimator to support industrial and commercial insulation, and firestopping projects. This fully remote role reports to the Estimating Manager and President – Industrial Division.

Responsibilities include takeoffs, pricing, and bid packages for industrial piping, ductwork, tanks, HVAC, and plumbing systems. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of estimating experience, strong communication, and ability to work independently in a remote

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, plans, specifications, and insulation schedules.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Experience with digital takeoffs and calculating material and labor requirements.
• Knowledge of commercial and industrial insulation systems.
• Ability to obtain, review, and compare vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Experience preparing complete and competitive bid packages.
• Familiarity with estimating software; MIKE Estimator and VTO preferred.
• Remote work capability and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, plans, and specifications to determine project scope and requirements.
• Develop accurate and competitive estimates and bids within established deadlines.
• Enter takeoff information into MIKE Estimator and Visual Takeoff.
• Verify material, equipment, labor, and subcontractor pricing.
• Solicit and review vendor and subcontractor quotes as needed.
• Prepare complete bid packages with pricing, scope, and exclusions.
• Review addenda and revisions; adjust estimates as necessary.
• Coordinate with project managers to confirm project-specific requirements.
