Job summary

D2 Industrial Services in Vallejo, CA is seeking a Junior Estimator – Construction to support industrial insulation project estimates. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants to learn, grow, and contribute to competitive bids for labor, materials, and equipment.

You will review plans, perform quantity takeoffs, collaborate with estimators and operations, and develop accurate cost estimates while following industry standards and company templates.

Qualifications

• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Planswift, or similar).
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Act as an Insulation subject matter expert.
• Estimate Insulation Projects of all sizes.
• Collaborate with PMs and BMs to coordinate scheduling of manpower for projects.
• Generate new job leads through networking with new construction general contractors.
• Analyze and evaluate project plans, specifications, scope, difficulty, and requirements to prepare a job cost estimate and assemble bid packages.
• Prepare conceptual estimates and budgets.
• Perform accurate quantity take-offs and unit pricing using established company production rates.
• Establish profit & overhead for project when requested.
