Job summary

The University of Tennessee, Knoxville is seeking an instructional designer/developer to analyze, design, develop, and evaluate online and hybrid courses. You will collaborate with faculty and GTAs to lead instructional design projects that expand online programs and courses, supporting UT’s strategic goals.

Preferred qualifications include advanced degrees in instructional design or education technology, expertise with Articulate tools, and a focus on STEM or interactive modules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Two years of Instructional Design experience.
• Knowledge of best practices in online teaching, learning, and assessment.
• Experience with Canvas or other LMS.
• Ability to design and develop online and hybrid courses.
• Knowledge of UDL and accessibility standards.
• Strong written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with faculty to develop courses per Engaged Online Course Initiative.
• Manage instructional design projects for course development.
• Consult with faculty to implement best practices in online learning.
• Develop assessment tools to evaluate programming and teaching.
• Engage in professional development related to online teaching and technology.
