Job summary

University of the Cumberlands is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to craft engaging, outcomes-driven learning experiences for adult learners. You will lead full-cycle course design from analysis through evaluation, partnering with faculty, subject-matter experts, and external partners to deliver digital, hybrid, and instructor-led learning.

The role requires expertise in AI content development, multimedia production, LMS analytics, and WCAG 2.2 accessibility.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in instructional design or related field.
• Proficiency with AI content development tools and multimedia production.
• Experience with Canvas or similar LMS and learning analytics dashboards.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards, including captions and transcripts.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop asynchronous, hybrid, and instructor-led learning experiences.
• Create multimedia assets (videos, graphics, simulations) to reinforce competencies.
• Develop assessments aligned to objectives and analyze learning impact.
• Collaborate with subject-matter experts and teams to translate content into engaging materials.
• Continuously improve designs using learner analytics and feedback.
