Job summary

National Math and Science Initiative (NMSI) is seeking a Manager, Instructional Design to lead the development of engaging online learning materials across math and science education. The role oversees a team of designers, SMEs, and content developers, driving alignment with NMSI’s action-oriented mission.

Remote-first position within the contiguous United States, with occasional travel for meetings and events.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing LMS platforms.
• Knowledge of adult learning methodologies and instructional design theories for online and in-person settings.
• Proficiency with authoring tools, especially Articulate 360, Camtasia, and related software.

Responsibilities

• Create and develop engaging learning materials for online delivery (modules, interactive resources, videos, infographics, visuals, simulations).
• Apply ADDIE and other instructional design models to guide content development.
• Ensure digital materials reflect current research in culturally responsive pedagogy.
• Support hybrid training services with in-person and online components.
• Utilize LMS platforms to deliver and track learning.
• Oversee a team of designers, SMEs, and content developers.
• Set priorities and responsibilities for direct reports aligned with goals.
• Represent the organization with integrity and foster collaboration.
