Job summary

National Math and Science Initiative (NMSI) seeks a Manager, Instructional Design to lead the creation of online math and science learning materials. You will guide a team to design engaging modules, videos, infographics, and simulations using adult learning theory and ADDIE models.

Reporting to the Director, Program Design & Innovation, this remote-friendly, full-time role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration and ongoing improvement of instructional content across time zones.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years designing and implementing LMS platforms.
• Experience applying adult learning theories to online and in-person settings.
• Proficiency with Articulate/Articulate 360 and other authoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Create and develop engaging online learning materials (modules, videos, infographics, simulations).
• Apply ADDIE and other instructional design models to content development.
• Ensure materials reflect current culturally responsive pedagogy research.
• Support hybrid delivery by integrating in-person and online components.
• Utilize LMS platforms to deliver and track learning and evaluate outcomes.
• Lead a team of part-time designers, subject matter experts, and content developers.
