This is a full-time, 100% remote role serving US facilities, with emphasis on accuracy, compliance, and timely coding. The coder will maintain coding quality at or above 95% accuracy, handle Medicare/NonMedicare cases, and collaborate with facility teams to ensure proper documentation and billing while meeting productivity standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS inpatient coding experience.
• At least 1 year of pediatric inpatient coding.
• Must hold one of the credentials RHIA / RHIT / CCS / CIC / CPC.

Responsibilities

• Code inpatient pediatric accounts using ICD-10-CM/PCS for Medicare and non-Medicare cases.
• Maintain accuracy per official guidelines and ensure compliant documentation.
• Achieve high productivity and meet turnaround expectations (e.g., 2 charts/hour, 24-hour queue handling).
• Resolve coding discrepancies with physicians and document queries as needed.
• Collaborate with facility and IT teams to support accurate billing and reporting.
